In the immediate community of Sumter, South Carolina there is a struggle to combat an increase in violent crimes against all segments of our community. An immediate effeort must be made to bridge the gap between our youth and elders. There is so much wisdom I was gifted from my grandparents and grand aunties and uncles that this upcoming generation are lacking. My elders provided me the wisdom you only receive through spending time, serving our elders and being an active listener.
