About Me
At the heart of Gracefully Diverse In Home Care is my lifelong commitment to honoring and uplifting those who are too often overlooked—our elders and individuals with special needs. With a strong foundation in sociology from Dartmouth College, years of biochemical and healthcare-focused study, and current nursing education at CCTC, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and real-world caregiving experience to this work. My journey has taken me from research internships at Yale to hands-on care in the homes of those who need support the most. This isn’t just a profession—it’s a purpose. I founded this agency to create a space where empathy, excellence, and cultural sensitivity are at the core of everything we do. We don’t just provide services—we empower our clients to live with dignity, and we uplift our caregivers with the support they need to grow, thrive, and lead with heart.
Why I Do What I Do
What drives me is more than just a desire to run a business—it’s the deep understanding that every person deserves to age with dignity, be cared for with respect, and be seen beyond their limitations. I’ve witnessed the difference a kind word, a patient hand, or a trusted routine can make in someone’s day. That’s what keeps me going. This agency is a reflection of my heart: a safe haven for clients, a support system for families, and a growth platform for compassionate caregivers. I’m passionate about transforming in-home care into something deeply human—where every interaction is guided by empathy, professionalism, and purpose. Gracefully Diverse is not just a name—it’s a promise to celebrate the richness of each life we touch.
Warmly,

Gracefully Diverse In Home Care
Being the Change I wish to see!
-Mahatma Ghandi
We are a team of Caregivers, Registered Nurses and Professional Business People determined to redefine Personal Care in Sumter, South Carolina.
My passion is people. I’m moved by the quiet strength of our elders, the resilience of families navigating special needs, and the humanity that still lives in every moment of genuine care. I believe that caregiving is sacred—it’s not just about help, it’s about healing. I’ve seen how the right caregiver can transform someone’s quality of life, and how a nurturing environment can restore hope where it was once fading. That’s why I pour my whole heart into this work. Gracefully Diverse is more than a business to me—it’s a calling to create a legacy of compassion, empowerment, and respect. I’m here for the stories, the smiles, the breakthroughs, and even the quiet moments of connection that no one else sees. This is what fuels me. This is what I was born to do.

Over 30 years experience & education focused on Health and People!
With three decades dedicated to advancing human well-being, I blend a B.A. in Sociology with 30 years of health-focused work that ranges from direct caregiving to program development, always centering the unique needs of individuals and communities. Throughout this journey, I have consistently led diverse teams and taught emerging professionals, turning complex challenges into collaborative, people-centered solutions.
“Empowered Caregivers, Expert Training, and—above all—Genuine Empathy & Proactive Care.”
At Gracefully Diverse In Home Care, we begin by empowering our caregivers with 24/7 clinical support, mentorship from an on-call RN, and clear career pathways so they feel confident and valued every time they walk into a client’s home. We back that confidence with expert training that exceeds state requirements—hands-on skills labs, dementia-specific simulations, and monthly refreshers that keep our team current on best practices and cultural sensitivity. Finally, we hire for—and continually cultivate—genuine empathy and proactive care: caregivers are taught to notice subtle health or mood changes, document them in real time, and communicate with families before small concerns become big issues. Together, these three pillars ensure your loved one receives attentive, personalized support that safeguards both dignity and wellbeing.
Carpe Diem - Seize the Moment!
Away from my role at Gracefully Diverse In Home Care, I nurture my own well-being through simple, grounding pleasures: tending a flourishing garden, casting a fishing line on quiet South Carolina waters, and drawing strength from active involvement in my church community. Whether I’m cheering on my children, guiding them through life’s lessons, or unwinding with a good book, these moments of motherhood, faith, nature, and reading replenish my spirit—and ultimately deepen the empathy and patience I bring to every client and caregiver I serve.
